Learning, teaching and managing using ICT

ICT can improve the quality of teaching, learning and management in schools and so help raise standards. That's why ICT is at the heart of the DCSF's commitment to improving learning for all children.

To help achieve its aims, the Department works with a number of key partners including the National Strategies, Becta, NCLSCS (National College for Leadership of Schools and Children's Services), QCDA (Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency), SSAT (Specialist Schools and Academies Trust) and the TDA (Training and Development Agency for Schools).

    The Secondary National Strategy for ICT provides school teachers and leaders with practical materials, support and guidance to encourage and enable effective teaching across the curriculum using ICT.
