We must make it possible for children to walk, cycle or take the bus to school safely. If we can achieve this we will be helping them to grow up healthy and independent whilst enriching their education and the environment. School Travel Plans are an effective way of providing opportunities for your school to change its travel habits and reduce its dependency on the car.
Sustrans, the sustainable transport charity, works on practical projects to encourage people to walk, cycle and use public transport for health, safety and environmental reasons.
