Curriculum
The school curriculum provides a large number of opportunities for pupils to develop knowledge and understanding of healthy eating patterns as well as the practical skills that are needed to shop, prepare food and cook. For information on using the outdoors to learn about where food comes from and how it is grown both in school grounds and beyond (food growing, farming and countryside), see the new Growing Schools website.
The topics covered in this area of the site relate to Objective 2 of the Healthy Living Blueprint publication. They are:
- Food Technology
- Science
- Personal Social and Health Education (PSHE)
- Geography
- Citizenship
- Physical Education (PE)
