Consultation on the future of Sportsmark, Activemark and the introduction of a new Sports Partnership Mark
The Departments for Education and Skills, and for Culture, Media and Sport, together with Sport England consulted (4 October 2004 to 7 January 2005) on proposals to revamp Sportsmark and Activemark and introduce a new Sports Partnership Mark. The schemes audit and recognise, by kite-marking, schools' commitment to PE and school sport, including out-of-hours sports activities.

Overall the proposals received strong support. The plan is to introduce the revamped schemes and the new partnership mark from 2006. The Departments and Sport England will launch the new scheme during the autumn term 2005.
