  • 4 Learning
    Online educational resources for teachers, pupils and home learners and a complete guide to over 800 hours of Channel 4's programmes for schools. 
  • AngliaCampus
    AngliaCampus is a subscription-based online education service written exclusively to support the National Curriculum by a team of teachers.
  • BBC Schools Online
    BBC Schools offers a wealth of educational resources for students, teachers and parents from pre-school through to sixth form. Read summaries of these resources, divided into Key Stages 1 and 2 and Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Disneyland Resort Paris 
    The site is aimed at teachers of Key Stage 3 students and offers tips and contacts to help organise educational trips to the Resort, downloadable workbooks and other useful information. The aim of the site is to get children out of the classroom and into an exciting venue that resonates amongst children of this age to stimulate their interest in subjects such as science, mathematics, design and technology, art and design, English, modern foreign languages, citizenship and ICT.
  • English Folk Dance and Song Society runs educational and participatory arts projects, classes, workshops, seminars and other events, for children and young people.
  • Eye Know Eye Care
    The aim of these resources is to bring eye health into the school curriculum to educate children about the importance of looking after their eyes and going for regular eye examinations. Download the teacher notes here.
  • Film Street
    Film Street gives children the opportunity to get creative in the world of film. The website has interactive activities, movie-making ideas and expert advice. A dedicated teacher section provides a wealth of information, including lesson and activity plans and downloadable resources. The resources can help develop children's skills in literacy, music, history, drama and ICT. 
  • First Light
    First Light provides funding and expertise for young people (aged 5 to 19) to make short digital films under the guidance of professional filmmakers. Since 2001, First Light Movies has helped more than 12,000 young filmmakers make over 800 films using £1.1 million Lottery money, through UK Film Council funding. The website aims to engage primary-aged children, their teachers and parents with films and filmmaking through a friendly, safe and easy-to-use online interface.
  • Food Standards Agency
    The Food Standards Agency offers a wide range of teaching tools, including a free nutrition-based CD-ROM called Dish It Up. Aimed at 11— to 12-year-olds, it promotes self-esteem along with good eating habits and can be used throughout the following Key Stage 3 subjects: PSHE, design and technology, science and home economics. Schools can receive two free copies, orderable on 0845 606 0667.
  • Giving Nation Challenge
    The Giving Nation Challenge aims to boost learning about charities, social enterprises and individual giving. Resources (including downloadable lessons) are suitable for both Key Stages 3 and 4 and meet statutory Enterprise and Citizenship National Curriculum criteria.
  • The Grain Chain
    A collaboration of the Home-Grown Cereals Authority, Federation of Bakers and Flour Advisory Bureau. The website (for 5— to 16-year-olds) investigates how wheat is transformed into foods such as bread, and also explores healthy eating, energy inputs/outputs, farming, food production and recipes. It includes interactive whiteboard activities, information/activity sheets, quizzes, videos, games and full teacher's notes.
  • Granada Learning
    Granada Learning produce a range of educational resources spanning the syllabuses of Primary and Secondary schools.
  • HomeWork Elephant
    Internet resources to help complete pupils' homework assignments. Over 5000 carefully selected resources to assist with homework problems.
  • Homework High
    A Channel 4 site that allows students to ask for and receive assistance with homework questions on a range of subjects.
  • Learn.co.uk
    Learn.co.uk is a large learning resource for homework, revision, or preparing lessons. 
  • Living Library
    Living Library is a subscription service that offers a collection of multimedia resources specifically designed to support learning across all subject areas.
  • London 2012
    This website is dedicated to the Olympic and Paralymic Games for 2012. Here you can find activities and resources for primary and secondary students, including assembly packs in English and Welsh.
  • Media 4 education
    This is an interactive information resource designed specifically for people who use and teach multimedia in education.
  • Muslim Council of Britain — Books for Schools
    The Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) is the UK's representative Muslim umbrella body with more than 500 affiliated national, regional and local organisations, mosques, charities and schools. In October 2004 the MCB launched a set of creative key-stage-linked educational resources to facilitate the teaching of Islam in British schools.
  • Newsround
    Newsround's website offers teachers hundreds of free global news-based lesson plans in citizenship, PSHE and literacy for 11— to 14-year-olds. It is packed with information and there are also news sections on science and technology, music and sport.
  • The Poetry Archive
    The Poetry Archive is a free online resource which will make available recordings of English-language poets reading their own work. The website is packed with information about poets and poetry, with advice on teaching poetry effectively, lesson ideas based on the Archive's recordings and an area where teachers can create and save their own lesson plans.
  • Prim-ed Publishing
    A company which produces a wide range of photocopiable teaching resources for primary schools and lower-secondary special-needs pupils. Material can be previewed in detail on their website before purchase.
  • Red the Robot
    This is a reinforcement resource, designed especially for less motivated children, boys and reluctant readers, but also can be used to stretch more capable pupils or groups.
  • SciShop: Key Stage 3 Science Resource Database
    SciShop is an online resource area designed to support teachers and students in Key Stage 3 science.
  • Smart UNI
    This is a free and comprehensive guide for students wishing to evaluate the possibility of attending university in the USA. It contains advice ranging from what to expect from the way of life there to ways of raising the funds necessary. It is aimed at students from all backgrounds and income levels and offers full details of the top 260+ universities in the USA.
  • UK School Trips
    This is a free service to help anyone that books School Trips and Educational Visits. You will find a lot of fun days out that are also educational in a format that lets you search to your exact criteria. The site is constantly researching suitable venues and you will find new venues daily with full details of the educational support they give. It is free to register and has very strict privacy policies.
  • World of Workshops
    A new national database of individuals from all walks of life who can offer workshops, lessons, talks and demonstrations in their field to schools and other groups. Teachers can also register their own skills.
