Drink campaign

'Don't walk away and let a friend die' is a hard-hitting — and potentially life-saving — campaign to tell teenagers what to do if their friends become dangerously ill through alcohol consumption.

It has been launched by Merseyside paramedic Steve Evans, who says: "I accept that we will not stop these teenagers drinking alcohol, but we do need to encourage them to call for an ambulance when someone becomes ill, and to put the patient in the recovery position."
