E111 - Organising school trips abroad

Teachers organising school trips abroad need to know about new arrangements for international healthcare.

UK residents can get free or reduced-cost healthcare in all European Union countries, plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland — as long as they carry a completed E111 form with them.

A new E111 form has been introduced recently. Anyone planning to travel in these countries should apply for a new E111, available from post offices, as the old ones are no longer valid.
