"Since the 1970s, the natural wealth of the Earth has been reduced by one third because of man."

The Resource Library offers access to schemes of work, lesson plans and learning materials, case studies on sustainable development activity in schools, and information about related programmes and policies.

An image gallery offers inspiration to the whole school community and an A to Z directory of organisations identifies those that can help schools with different aspects of their journey towards sustainability.

The site also provides access to Growing Schools, where schools can search a comprehensive database of places to visit.

If you have any schemes of work, lesson plans, learning materials or case studies you would like to share with others, please email sustainable.schools@dcsf.gsi.gov.uk.
