Communicating the sustainable schools programme
Communications programme
The DCSF is initiating a communications programme focusing on schools where more help is needed to mainstream the sustainable schools agenda. This work includes regional events across the country, one-to-one working with nominated schools, and the promotion of the resources and tools which have been created by the DCSF to date.
In addition,
a film has been produced. The purpose of the film, Sustainability Matters, is to inspire and

Progress report
The DCSF recently undertook a piece of work to assess what was happening in schools, local authorities and at a regional level. A summary document on this report has been produced (March 2009), Progress summary on mainstreaming sustainable schools.
The report represents a piece of work commissioned by the DCSF and completed by Groundwork UK to obtain a snapshot by region of local activity to assess the impact of the National Framework for Sustainable Schools. Not a definitive piece of work, it focuses on regional, local authority and school levels.
