News:School Improvement Partners (SIPs) conference

On 9 December 2009 the Specialist Schools Unit and National Strategies organised a conference in Manchester about the new role of SIPs in the re-designation of specialist schools.

In his key note speech Jon Coles, Director of Schools, spoke about the role of specialist schools and SIPs in driving forward the White Paper strategy. John Townsley, headteacher of Morley High School, spoke about what the White Paper strategy means for him and more generally for specialist schools.
