Classrooms of the Future & Teaching Environments for the Future
The Classrooms of the Future initiative embraces a number of pilot projects, spread among 12 LEAs, which are testing out innovative ideas for educational design. Most of these are now finished and they do offer an exciting vision of how school design will change. The sequel to this, Teaching Environments for the Future (TEF), is looking at how design may help resolve school workforce issues. 18 LEAs are taking part in developing pathfinder projects, and most of these are still in the design stage.
