The School teachers' pay and conditions document 2005 (STPCD 2005) came into force on 1 September 2005. It was updated by the December 2005 Pay Order (no. 4).

The Explanatory notes for the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document 2005 were updated in December 2005, the Explanatory notes are also available in the Welsh Language (revised in September 2005).
Review of staffing structure in schools
The Education (Review of Staffing Structure) ( England) Regulations 2005, which came into effect on 6 May 2005, required schools to review their staffing structure and implement resulting changes by the end of 2008. The following documents provided guidance for schools.

The Rewards and Incentives Group (RIG) also provided a sheet of frequently asked questions on implementing the pay system, a note on additional sources of help, along with advice to the Secretary of State on school staffing restructuring.

Joint evidence to the School Teachers' Review Body (STRB)
The joint evidence (25 May 2005) was submitted in response to the Secretary of State's remit letter of 11 March.
