It includes recent editions of the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document and its associated guidance, along with other publications relating to the annual pay cycle. These include DCSF evidence to the School Teachers' Review Body (STRB), along with copies of the STRB reports and copies of the letter sent to statutory consultees about proposed changes.

School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document 2008 (STPCD)

The pay order for the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document 2008 (STPCD) was laid before Parliament on 11 August and came into force on 1 September. It is available here as a PDF or a four-part Word document.

You can access the STPCD Explanatory Notes for Heads, Governors and Local Authorities here. The Welsh version is available here.

Hard copies of the STPCD will be available from mid September as follows:

  • Two copies to all schools in Wales.
  • One copy to all chairs of governors in England.
  • Schools in England can order one free copy from Teachernet Online Publications or by calling 0845 6022260, quoting reference DCSF 00608-2008DOM-EN. Schools which order a copy this year will be sent a copy in future years automatically.

Further copies may be ordered from The Stationery Office.

The Understanding Teachers' Pay leaflet provides a general overview of teachers' pay provisions. (Added September 2008)
