Teacher assessments (TAs)
Schools must report teacher-assessment levels for learners at Key Stages 2 and 3 to the QCA by 10 July 2009.
Teacher assessment is submitted on the 'Teacher assessment' section of the QCA Test and exams support website or available from 1 May 2009. Early return of teacher-assessment information is encouraged.
There are two routes for data to be submitted:
-
Some LAs will collect and submit data on behalf of their schools. These LAs will be contacting their schools to explain the local arrangements. They may set an earlier deadline for schools to submit data so that they can complete the collection in time to meet the statutory deadline of 11 July.
-
Where LAs are not collecting data, schools should send their data via the NAA Test Orders website, as a Common Transfer File (CTF). Schools will receive a report indicating if the file has been uploaded successfully.
The submission of P-scales data is now a statutory requirement: all schools are required to submit P-scales results with their 2008 TA data.

Queries and problems
If your query relates to the entry of TAs into your MIS, or to the production of a CTF file from this software, you should contact your MIS support — usually within the LA or direct from your supplier.
