Growing Schools

Growing Schools was launched in September 2001 by Schools Minister Baroness Ashton following the foot and mouth crisis.

It aims to encourage teachers to use the outdoor classroom, both within and beyond the school grounds, as a valuable learning resource. It is a cross-phase, cross-curricular programme for Nursery, Primary, Secondary and Special schools.
