Subject: DSG Funding Reports - Alternative Provision

To: All Local Authority Alternative Provision Contacts.

Purpose

To inform LAs that your funding reports are now available for you to download from the K2S website.  The files are available from the 'LA Downloads' area on Key to Success:

https://www.keytosuccess.dfes.gov.uk

Each LA has a "generic user", plus up to 3 named users. All these users have access to the LA downloads area and will all be able to access your files.

Guidance

Your Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) Funding Report is available and reflects the data provided in your Alternative Provision (AP) return.  It is the responsibility of the LA to check your funding figures and make any amendments to COLLECT if any of the data are incorrect.  The reports reflect the data based on the position as at close 1 April.

The AP database will be closed to LAs for amendments at close of business on 30 April 2008.  You can continue to make amendments to COLLECT to rectify any incorrect data highlighted by your funding reports, as well as cleaning any other errors, and continuing to resolve outstanding duplicates up to this date.  Likewise the DCSF may contact you up 12 May regarding any anomalies found in the data, after which point the AP database will be closed altogether allowing for final DSG funding figures to be made available via the K2S website on 13 May.

If you have any queries about any of the above points, COLLECT or School Census in general, please email: DSG.helpdesk@dcsf.gsi.gov.uk or, alternatively, contact the Helpdesk Desk on 01325 392626.
