How to search the resources database
After completing Step 1, choose which database you wish to search: TeacherNet's, the National curriculum online one, or the Schemes of Work. Once you've clicked on your option, a second screen will appear.
At this point you must fill in one of the two fields (boxes), or both if you want to narrow the search down. Then press the 'Find results' button to see summaries of lesson plans. Once you've found a lesson plan you're interested in, click on the underscored title of this resource. You'll be taken through to an online, free of charge lesson plan that has been tested by teachers in class, for suitability and quality.
Here's an example: you're looking for a Literacy lesson plan. First, when you are on the main page for the lesson plans (www.teachernet.gov.uk/resources), select 'English' as the subject in Step 1, and the Key Stage you want. In Step 2 select the TeacherNet Reviews category. This brings up a new screen. Leave the top box 'Scheme of work unit' empty and type 'Literacy' into the Keyword box, then click on return. The results will appear and you can choose from these. If you want to view more, click on the button that says 'Next 10' 0.
